The Grandparents Project: A book by Photo Trouvée Magazine

Photo Trouvée Magazine is excited to host an open call for The Grandparents Project Book. We are looking for artists who work with or are inspired by vintage family photographs of their grandparents in any media and at any stage in their careers. Artists may submit works previously created and/or published or we would encourage you to create something specific for this book. We are open internationally for submissions. This open call is free to submit however, artists will agree to pay a $35 publishing fee if selected to be featured in the book.

Publishing Fee IF selected: $35 (USD)

Submission:

Fill out the submission form from the button below and include:

  • 1-3 images in the following format: High Resolution JPEG, 300 DPI, ARTISTNAME_TITLE. (Please note that we will not consider files that do not follow this format).

  • A high resolution scan of a short handwritten message to go along with your artwork--you may interpret this in any way that you wish (a message to the grandparent(s), a description of the piece(s) etc...)

If your work is selected, you will receive a dedicated page spread in the book. Please note that by submitting your work for this book, you will be agreeing to pay a $35 publishing fee if selected only. Artists featured in the book will receive a complimentary digital e-book and will be able to purchase the physical book from LULU Press (internationally). The book will be released in 2026.

The submission itself does not guarantee the artist being selected for a feature.
By submitting to the Photo Trouvée Magazine OPEN CALLS the artist agrees to Terms & Conditions. If your entry was not selected this time, we highly encourage you to reapply for the next call for entry.
